"இன்னும் தங்கள் இறைவன் கட்டளைகளை ஏற்று தொழுகையை (ஒழுங்குப்படி) நிலைநிறுத்துவார்கள்- அன்றியும் தம் காரியங்களைத் தம்மிடையே கலந்தாலோசித்துக்கொள்வர்; மேலும், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்தவற்றிலிருந்து (தானமாகச்) செலவு செய்வார்கள்" (ஸூரத் ஷூரா : 38)

அண்மைக்கால சவால்கள் :

அண்மைக்காலமாக இலங்கை முஸ்லிம்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் சவால்கள், அவற்றின் உள்ளக, பிராந்தியமற்றும் வெளிநாட்டு பின் புலன்கள், மொத்ததேசத்தினதும் சமாதான சகவழ்வு, பொருளாதார சுபீட்சம் உற்பட பல்வேறு பரிமாணங்களில் அவை கொண்டுள்ள தாக்கங்கள் என்பவற்றை கவனத்திற்கொண்டு சகல தரப்புக்களையும் உள்வாங்கிய தேசிய ஷூரா சபையொன்று அவசரமாகவும் அவசியமாகவும் நிறுவப் படல் வேண்டும் என்பதனை எமது சமூகம் நன்கு உணர்ந்துள்ளது.

கடந்த இரண்டாம் திகதி முதன் முறையாக முஸ்லிம் அமைப்புக்கள் தமது வேற்றுமைகளை மறந்து, இடைக் கால ஆலோசனை 3சபையொன்றை அமைப்பதற்கான அறிவித்தலை விடுப்பதற்காக வெள்ளவத்தை மியாமி வரவேற்பு மண்டபத்தில் சந்தித்துக் கொண்டன. முஸ்லிம் சமூகம் எதிர்நோக்கி வருகின்ற பிரதான சவால்களை எதிர் கொள்வதோடு, தேசத்தைக் கட்டியெழுப்புவதில் காத்திரமானதொரு பாத்திரத்தை வகிப்பதும் இச்சபையின் நோக்கமாகும்.

For the first time almost all Muslim religious, social and cultural organisations and groups, buried their differences, and met in one platform under one roof at Wellawatta Miami Reception Hall on Thursday 2 May 2013 to announce the formation of an Interim Consultative (Shoora) Council-ICC.

The main purpose of ICC is to meet the emerging challenges and deal with burning issues facing the community besides seeking to play a role in nation building.

The need for such a body has been felt for sometimes in view of the continuous moral decadence of Muslim politicians who had become community’s shameful liability. Even the others failed to rise up to the occasion to protect the interest of the community.

This article should be read contextually with all previous parts. . It is not my objective to make any derogatory criticism of any community or any religion. An attempt has been made here to illustrate how Singhalese people have been sympathetic and companionate towards all other religious groups in the past. Though Portuguese and Hindu invaders from South India try to destroy cultural heritage of Singhalese Buddhist people during the colonial and pre-colonial periods, Singhalese kings offered unconditional supports and help for all other religious groups such as Christian, Hindi and Muslims people. I shall try to illustrate this point with historical evidence to show what BBS doing today is contrary to their cultural and religious history and teachings.

At least 50 Rohingya Muslims are feared drowned after their boats capsized off western Burma, officials say.

The boats, said to be carrying about 100 passengers, were evacuating people ahead of powerful Cyclone Mahasen.

The vessels sank off Pauktaw township in Rakhine state late on Monday. More than 40 survivors have been found and eight bodies recovered.

Thousands of Rohingya Muslims are living in temporary camps in Rakhine after violence last year.

The UN had called for an urgent evacuation ahead of the storm, warning that many areas where displaced people are now living are in low-lying coastal areas at risk of flooding or tidal surges.

This important need is being increasingly felt today than ever before due to ever increasing violence and bloodshed , ethnic conflict, religious strife and many other challenges that are threatening the stable social order, peace and security.

Many conferences are being held in various part of the world in the form of Dialogue between Islam and Christianity and Islam and Judaism. Many Muslim and Christian Organizations on the part western world are playing a significant role in promoting understanding, dialogue and co-existence between Muslims, Christians and Jews, but very little attempts have been made to initiate a dialogue between Islam and other Oriental religions at International level.

The followers of oriental religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism constitute about half of the world population and the oriental religions had played an important role in shaping the spiritual traditions of humanity. The orient has a long history of peaceful co-existence between religions, except for few instances in which there had been frictions and conflicts due to reasons that are more political and economic and less motivated by religious impulses and more over conflicts of this nature are not the norm but exceptions.

Saudi Arabia praises Iran for protecting the Red sea

The commander of the Navy of Saudi Arabia Dalil Al-Dro was full of praise for Iran for continuously  protecting  and looking after the Red sea it had given the whole are a much needed protection and surveillance

The Iran’s commander of the forces Rear Admiral Habbolan Sayari after meeting the Naval commander of Saudi Arabia had admitted after the surveillance there have been given enough security to the entire area from the sea robbers. Hence there is no danger from enemies.

The two have had talks to find more means of strengthening the security further.

මියන්මාරයේ සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ මෑත කාලීනව මුස්ලිම් ජාතිකයින්ට එරෙහිව ප්‍රචණ්ඩ ක්‍රියා සිදුකෙරුණු වග එතුමා සඳහන් කරයි.

STOP ATTACKS ON MUSLIMS – DALAI LAMA TELLS LANKAN MONKS

The Dalai Lama has implored Buddhist monks in Myanmar and Sri Lanka to put an end to a series of recent attacks on Muslims in their countries. He said Buddhists, including monks, were responsible for recent violence against Muslims in Myanmar and Sri Lanka.

The Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader spoke Tuesday night about religious violence when asked questions following a speech he delivered to 15,000 people at the University of Maryland. He condemned all killing being carried out in the name of religion and then turned to his own religion.

Myanmar has been wracked by sectarian violence that has displaced tens of thousands over the past year, while Sri Lankan Buddhist groups have recently attacked Muslim businesses, AP reports.
